Been Busy

Well I have been really busy around here lately. Started my job at the Quilt shop. I am only working one day a week but I love it. Get to touch all of that fabric. Of course not much of my check will make it home. I have been working on some quilt blocks and designing some quilts to work on. I am looking forward to the April retreat. I need to get away from it all for a while and be with my quilting friends

Well we have a new addition to our family. We now have a basset hound/beagal puppy. He is 6mos old. He was our DDs roommates dog but she got tired of him and wanted to get rid of him. So we took him in. He is already spoiled with more to come. I am going to make him a couple of doggie quilts, a doggie, jacket and a bed. He has already made himself right a home here. We just won't let him on the couch. He can sit at my feet on my chaise. I have a quilt there and he loves it. I will post a pic soon. That is it this morning. Have a great day!

Well I changed the name of my blog. Irish Hillbilly is a joke between me and my husband and two daughters.

I started quilting an Ohio star quilt. Some of the stars don't look like Ohio stars because of the fabric that I used in placement. But I have the blocks so I will use them. Almost all of my quilts get used anyway.

I finished the genealogy quilt I was doing for a gentleman. I meet him next week to give it to him. He asked me about making another quilt. Have to see what that entails.

It has finally warmed up. The snow is almost gone. It rained here last night. I'm just happy to see grass again. I am getting really tired of the snow and cold. Spring is around the corner. I may so my spring cleaning early this year and be done with it for a change. I think I am going to go outside and enjoy the weather. Hope everyone has a great day

New to Blogging

Well I am new to blogging but I thought I would give it a try. It seems to be the thing to do these days. It will take me awhile to get things set up here.
